Nested House V2.0

This is Urban Future’s winning scheme for an innovative row house in Manchester for Urban Splash. New ideas in prefabrication and sustainability were paramount to the design alongside the exciting spatial effects generated through the boat hull typology.

The proposal sought to deliver a series of stacked prefabricated volumes which would be craned in between the two party walls. Once in position, the two front and rear facades would be fitted which comprised of thick frame containing a number bi-fold metal privacy screens and sliding windows corresponding to each level. As soon as the property is water tight all services would be connected and final finishes added.
